The Brief

The objective was to create information manuals that the Boston Consulting Group could provide to their clients as a base reference for any industry and to introduce a team of experts and their area of competence. A key requirement was to enable consultants to easily update and add to these references throughout a project life cycle, maintaining the look & feel and functionality of the previously used iBooks Author booklet format while eliminating the need for repeated booklet downloads.

The Solution

Creating these references as a website guaranteed that any information was always up to date. A custom developed WordPress theme and reveal.js made it possible to display the manual’s content as full screen slides that could be swiped on BCG’s device of choice – the iPad – in all 4 directions using attractive 3d transitions, while providing a relatively easy to use backend for cosultans to add to and update by customising the WordPress dashboard with custom post types, custom meta boxes, custom taxonomies and Visual Composer as page builder.
